An extraordinary cocktail experience for flavor lovers and a classy night out! 🥂 The staff are super friendly, happy to explain the unique concept—bringing flavors from different cultures and countries into your glass 🌍🍹—and always ready to answer questions. The menu is a bit mysterious and only hints at what’s coming, but the drinks were great and they even made a custom cocktail for us! 🙏✨
Attracted by the high rating and the inviting atmosphere, and both delivered. The vibe is great and the service was genuinely attentive and warm throughout the evening. The cocktail menu looks promising on paper — it has personality and seems to have a clear point of view. In practice though, every drink landed somewhere firmly in the middle. Nothing offensive, nothing memorable. For the price, you would hope for at least one standout moment, and it never quite came. A nice spot for a casual evening out, just do not go in expecting to be wowed by what is in the glass.
Beyond the Bar was one of the coolest bar setups we visited in Prague. It has a true speakeasy feel — you walk into a building, head down a spiral staircase, and enter this dark, moody bar with the only natural light coming in from the street-level opening at the end of the space. The atmosphere alone makes it worth checking out. The drink menu was extremely unique and diverse. I’m not sure I’ve ever had some of those flavor combinations before, but everything was balanced really well. The cocktails were creative without feeling overdone, and every detail felt intentional, down to the garnishes that were meant to enhance the underlying flavors in the drinks. The service was excellent as well. The team here was awesome, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. Overall, I would highly recommend Beyond the Bar if you’re looking for a creative cocktail experience in Prague with a dark, speakeasy-style atmosphere and truly memorable drinks.
This is by far the best cocktails I’ve come across in Prague. And far better than at the much-hyped Forbina. Young, passionate team who are deeply serious about what they serve. Very advanced drinks and varied tastes - not for show but because it makes culinary sense. Menu changes every 6-7 months. Definitely your first stop for cocktails. It’ll be downhill after that.
I dream of this place OFTEN since I’ve gone. I rarely drink alcohol and only make exceptions for quality cocktails and these are the best I’ve ever had. My boyfriend loved whiskey and after we had basically everything on the menu she made him a custom drink which he said was the best he’s ever had! We RAVE about this place. They make sure you’re very hydrated with water and are such friendly, educated, experienced bartenders. I’ll come back to Prague just for this place.
