The entire staff—reception, housekeepers, bellboys, dining room, and bar crew—were all professional and polite. Special thanks to Marketa, the absolute light of the hotel. She was incredibly kind, gave us wonderful recommendations, and solved everything with a smile.The location is fantastic, just 10-15 minutes on foot from the Jewish Quarter, the Astronomical Clock, and other top sites. If you ever get to Prague you have to stay in The President Hotel. The location is fantastic. Right on the river and walking distance to Old Town and other attractions. The service is very good. The hotel is clean. I can only speak for the breakfast since we ate out for dinner every evening and the breakfast buffet was great. After a long day of sightseeing we came back to the hotel and used the wellness area with its pool, sauna and steam room, comfi daybeds and lounge chairs to relax before heading out again for dinner. Don’t forget to check out the hotel’s rooftop with its fancy delicious drinks and stunning views of Prague.
Summary: Great location, comfortable clean rooms superb wellness area, and plenty of food choices including an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended! Booked through Easyjet holidays, this hotel is perfectly located at the edge of the Vltava River within a short, ~10 minute walk of the Old Town Square, and Astronomical Clock, with a view to Prague Castle on the hill. We had a clean, modern, double room with very comfortable bed, plenty of space and view over the river. The room was serviced daily and soft drinks (water/coke) also replenished daily, as used, with no extra charge. Bathroom had both a seperate shower, and a bath with shower. The temperature was comfortable with outside temperatures up to 34°C. Great facilities including a bar with bar food next to reception and a great Skybar on the top floor with superb views across Prague. Skybar was a bit pricey, but given the prime location and views, worth paying a bit extra for a special evening. Use of the Wellness area, sauna, steam room and pool is included in the price, and the pool is a good size facilitating a reasonable swimming workout, and is open from 08:00 until 21:00. We had breakfast included and this is well worth it. Superb choice and excellent quality. Scrambled eggs made fresh plenty of cheeses, cold meats, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, nuts, seeds, vegetables, good choice of bread and bread rolls. Great quality coffee and teas and good selection. Tea was served in either teabag or loose leaf form. Resistance is futile! Overall a super hotel and we would definitely return. This is my second visit.
At first glance, especially from the back side facing the street, the President Hotel doesn’t immediately strike you as overly luxurious. But the moment you step inside, you realize this is not simply a high-end hotel — it is a carefully designed space where every detail has been thoughtfully created with comfort, beauty, and quality in mind. The room design itself is exceptional. It’s not only about the breathtaking river view with boats slowly passing by. It’s the expanded windowsill transformed into a cozy seating niche where you can retreat and enjoy privacy. It’s the way the bed is positioned directly toward the window, allowing you to wake up facing the river. It’s the separate hallway-style area with a perfectly practical luggage space. Even when your belongings are spread around, the room somehow still feels elegant, calm, and organized. Breakfast at the restaurant is another highlight. The variety is impressive, and everything tastes genuinely delicious. Even the pickiest guest will be satisfied — from the quality of the coffee, fresh juices, pastries, and hot dishes to the incredibly warm service. The staff speaks multiple languages, seems to anticipate your needs before you even ask, and is always welcoming and attentive. Overall, this hotel is truly a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend staying here. It makes the feeling of Prague even more magical — especially with the Old Town, the Jewish Quarter, and the beautiful riverside location just steps away.
We had a wonderful stay at the President Hotel in Prague. The experience was excellent from start to finish. A special thank you to Marketa, who was incredibly professional, kind, and attentive — her approach truly made our stay feel special and well cared for. The spa area was amazing and impeccably clean. We tried the Thai massage, and it was absolutely fantastic — highly professional, relaxing, and one of the best massages we’ve had. Breakfast was very good, with a nice variety and high-quality coffee, which we especially appreciated. Overall, a great combination of comfort, service, and attention to detail. We would be very happy to return and highly recommend this hotel.
