Fantastic atmosphere. Great location right beside and in view of the famous Charles bridge!! Staff provided excellent friendly service. Steak was fantastic with crispy fries. The most wonderful dessert. For sure a 5 star experience!!
This is a great view, shade, and if you go at the right time not too crowded. The drinks were reasonably priced. Great place to see the bridge, castle and river - while enjoying a beverage.
I have a very love-hate relationship with this place. I lived in Prague for years so I have been here a few times, mainly because i loooove the view to the bridge and the castle. The prices are touristy, which - given the location- I understand. But when ordering from the menu options, to be told that they only have 0,5 for a beer on tap, but not the 0,3 - i was a bit confused. They also mention that they prefer cash payments. Again - I understand why, but rather an outlier. Imho service charge shouldn’t be automatically included in the bill (i have not seen a mention of this on the menu). And the prices on their webpage are not the same as on the menu on site. There is also Lavka, and Lavka 5 on maps, what seems to me to be a duplicate of the same place. This establishment has sooo much potential with the back terrace, the theatre/event space and the inside restaurant.
This place was very busy, and it was clear that the staff had a lot to handle. Even so, the overall service was excellent. A special thanks to the waitress who helped us with the bill. She carefully went through our order and made sure everything was correct. My friend was paying and usually leaves a tip, but she kindly pointed out that a service charge had already been included in the bill. She also reminded us to choose the local currency when paying by card. Without her honesty and attention to detail, we might not have noticed the service charge and could have ended up paying an additional tip unnecessarily. The prices are a bit on the expensive side, but both the food and the view are well worth it. Overall, we had a very pleasant dining experience and would gladly visit again.
