This is not renovation, it's just painting here and there, and a lot of sand. Due to deficit of recreational water places in Prague this one will do, but in reality it's the same socialist thing covered with new paint. Sand and concrete tiles burn the legs. Beach volleyball is a joke, unusable due to super low net you cannot adjust properly. Sun umbrella is highly recommended as there's not enough shade. Water is dirty, or at least dirtier than elsewhere.

I am new to Prague so I haven’t experienced this facility before the renovation, but I was very impressed. There is plenty of space for lounging, ample spots to buy food and drinks, and the change rooms are clean. It was their opening week so I can understand that wait times for food might be a little longer as mentioned in previous reviews, but I would give the staff some grace (everyone working there was really appreciative and doing their best). I enjoyed my chicken rice bowl and hot dog, so I didn't mind a small wait given that they’ve been open for only a few days and offer a reasonable price for the food. I’m confident that they will be able to smooth their operations over the next few days, and I can see myself spending lots of time here this summer. I definitely recommend a visit here for a small “beach” getaway in the city ☺️
