We stayed for 4 nights and were initially anxious due to mixed reviews. Here is our honest take: The Vibe: Our room was in the original building overlooking a busy street. Even at 3 AM, you can clearly hear the nightlife and crowds outside. However, being just steps away from Charles Bridge, the convenience is hard to beat. The Service: This was the biggest downside. The staff felt cold and unprofessional. Despite confirming via email that luggage assistance was available (essential as there is no elevator), the staff member swore and showed clear frustration when asked to help. Important Note: The reception is only available from 07:00 to 19:00, which is worth keeping in mind for late arrivals. If you are looking for a quiet retreat or the service level of a standard 3 or 4-star hotel, I suggest looking elsewhere. But if you enjoy nightlife and want a stunning bar right downstairs, this is the place for you.
The hotel is not 4 stars, there is a lot of noise from the workers who are renovating starting from 6:30 in the morning until the evening, drills, tools, machines of all kinds of voices. Although it is under renovation, the hotel does not provide discounts for the major discomfort created although it should be closed if major renovations are made. The breakfast contains poor quality fruit, tasteless and unripe, few and uncooled juices. The room services are good but to get to the room you need 4 keys, you go through many gates and side doors, through interior courtyards with a lot of garbage and construction site arrangements.
The hotel does not have an elevator, but the location is great and the room is very nice. However, what we found most unacceptable is that the hotel did not respect us. At checkout, they did not ask for our opinion and directly added a tip of 200 per night to the bill, claiming it was a cleaning fee and requiring us to pay it. This is very impolite. A tip should be voluntary and decided by the guest, not imposed without consent. We will file a complaint with the platform and request a refund.
