Description

Day trip from Prague to Wrocław 8:00 a.m. – Departure from Prague The journey time to Wrocław takes approximately 3.5 to 4 hours, which means you should arrive in the city around 12:00. Activity: Tour of the historic center: You will go on a tour of the Market Square (main square), which is the heart of the city. Here you will find colorful historic houses and the iconic Town Hall, one of the most beautiful in Europe. Dwarfs of Wrocław: There are more than 300 small statues of dwarfs scattered around the city, which have become a symbol of the city. Try to find some of them during your walk. After the tour, we recommend lunch in the city center where you will find many restaurants that offer traditional Polish cuisine. I recommend trying the local specialty pierogi (stuffed dumplings) or żurek (traditional Polish sour soup). You can also visit the Christmas markets Christmas markets: go to the Christmas markets right on Rynek Square. The markets in Wrocław are some of the largest and most picturesque in Poland, full of stalls with local products, food and hot drinks such as mulled wine or traditional Polish punch. At the markets, you can buy Christmas ornaments, handmade decorations or taste traditional Polish Christmas treats such as makowce (poppy strudels) and oscypki (smoked cheese). Free time and another tour of the city We highly recommend the following activities: University of Wrocław: the impressive building of the University of Wrocław, where you will find the magnificent Aula Leopoldina, a baroque hall with rich decorations. National Museum: If you're interested in art and history, stop by the National Museum, which contains collections of Polish and European art. Japanese Garden: Weather permitting, you can visit the beautiful Japanese Garden in Szczytnické Park, which offers a peaceful environment for a stroll. Departure back to Prague is planned around 5 pm The journey back to Prague is approximately 3.5 hours long. You will arrive in Prague around 21:00.
