Description

Begin your adventure at the Koněprusy Caves, the longest cave system in Bohemia. Hidden beneath the limestone ridge of the Golden Horse, this underground world reveals delicate natural formations – stalagmites, sinter pools, cavernous halls – patiently sculpted over millions of years. Learn about the cave's history, including its use as a secret counterfeit coin workshop in the Middle Ages. Feel the stillness and chill of the cave, inviting you to slow down and see with different eyes. Next, head to Velká Amerika, a former limestone quarry that stuns with its raw beauty. It’s carved into the landscape like a wound – deep, yet oddly picturesque. Admire the turquoise water at the bottom, vertical cliffs, and a viewpoint right on the edge. Continue to Karlštejn, the crown jewel of Czech castles. Before stepping inside its storied walls, enjoy an à la carte lunch in a cozy local restaurant, where you can savor Czech specialties with a view of the castle towers. Take a guided tour of the castle, transporting you back to the 14th century, when Emperor Charles IV built it to protect the imperial crown jewels.
