Description
Thanks to the book The Secret of Secrets, you will see Prague's most famous landmarks. The tour (conducted in German only) begins in the heart of the Old Town at Old Town Square by the central Marian Column. See Kinský Palace, where Langdon first kissed Katrin, and learn to read the symbols of the Astronomical Clock. In the Jewish Quarter, pass the Old-New Synagogue and the Jewish Cemetery, where, according to legend, the guardian of truth, the Golem, rose from the ether. Ponder from which window of the Four Seasons hotel our professor reportedly jumped into the Vltava River. Then run with Robert along the Klementinum complex, built by the Jesuits — once the secret police of the Catholic Church. On Charles Bridge we will show the femme fatale loved by the son of Emperor Charles IV. Learn about the Solstice Mystery, when the Heart of Europe turns into a heavenly Jerusalem. On the hill ahead stands a replica of the Eiffel Tower, where Langdon was nearly shot by secret-service agents. Cross Kampa Island and walk through the ambassadorial quarter of Lesser Town to the American Embassy, which Dan Brown claims uses city cameras for facial recognition. A tram will take us up to Prague Castle - the world's largest castle complex and the seat of kings, emperors and presidents. In St. Vitus Cathedral lies the coronation crown of pure gold set with gems and, legend says, a thorn from Christ's crown - made seven centuries ago for the Son of God. Walk past Vladislav Hall in the Old Royal Palace, where Katrin Salomon lectured on extrasensory perception, telepathy, near-death experiences and out-of-body experiences. That is the last secret of humanity. It was known to Emperor Charles IV, Emperor Rudolf II of the Habsburgs, the German mathematician Johannes Kepler and the English alchemist John Dee, alias 007. Find out where Prague's greatest treasure is hidden in the famous Golden Lane. Our 4-km outdoor tour finishes at the Prague Castle viewpoint. Don't forget to take exclusive photos. Our tip after the tour: Have lunch at Prague Castle. Take a walk in the Southern Royal Gardens for dreamy views of the metropolis (April–October). Buy a ticket and visit the Prague Castle interiors. You will love it.Includes
