Description

Let's go on a special night walk (conducted in German only). It's about visual spectacle, emotions and enjoying the atmosphere. After taking the tram with your guide from Malostranská station to Prague Castle, cross the deep moat and go through the gate in the fortifications. As if by magic, you find yourself in the courtyard of the luxurious royal palace of Emperor Rudolf II of Habsburg. Admire the illuminated crystal chandeliers behind the windows and the illuminated fountain. Walk through the ceremonial gate, where giants fight to the death, to the viewpoint on Hradčany Square. Fall in love with the shining towers of the magical “planet” of Prague. Then you are again drawn into a space-time vortex. This time you find yourself in the 14th century, when stonemasons’ hammers pounded in the courtyard. See St. Vitus Cathedral rising into the night sky. You may even hear the footsteps of the brilliant leader and visionary Charles IV. “You have no idea how terrible it is to rule over the people,” said this Bohemian king and Roman emperor. Visit the 10th century, when the brave warrior and eternal ruler of the Heart of Europe - Prince St. Wenceslas - held a magic spear in his hand, a sign shone above his forehead and angels accompanied him. Enjoy a pleasant chill in the darkened Golden Lane and be careful not to disappear! There is a hidden threshold to another world here. At exactly 10 pm, the gates of Prague Castle, guarded 24/7 by elite soldiers of the Castle Guard, will close.
