Description
Have you already visited Prague and done the obligatory tour of the major sites? This is a great choice if you are looking for something “spookily” different! Travelling off the beaten track, we'll visit a couple of Pragues lesser known hidden gems where locals outnumber the tourists.
We will visit Vyserad castle, overlooking the Vltava River, a tribute to centuries of Czech history, culture, and is noted for its architectural prowess and its many myths. You might bump into one of the scariest ghostly inhabitants, the spirit of a white lady, who is said to wander the castle grounds, or the seven maidens, who are said to dwell in the castle's underground passage.
Next we will drive back to the city and take a quick visit to Slavin, Pragues national cemetery, and resting place of many notable Czechs. Driving along the Nusle bridge, we will visit the Basilica of St Peter and Paul and the Rotunda of St. Martin, finishing off with a visit to the infamous Tv tower. Once voted as the second ugliest building in the world, this tv tower has divided Pragues residents since its appearance in 1985.
