When you see lokal citizens eat at a place, you can be sure, that this place is worth recommending! We've been few times here already, eating local specialities - goulash, potato and mushroom soup, tartar, duck, fried cheese, and traditional dumplings as a dessert. Everything was of great taste and quality and we never left hungry, meal size is big and perfect. Also personnel is very nice and friendly!
Go down some steps on Vltavska 787/8 and you'll find yourself in a real gem of a restaurant. We were served promptly and the food portions were impressive and for a very good price too. Everything we tried was so tasty and the staff were very friendly. It was so good that we went there twice. The second time I had the duck with cabbage in the photo.
Food is tasty but portion is quite to much for me eating alone dark beer is superb. English menu available. Friendly staff speaks English well. Not too many tourists.
We‘ve been here on Thursday and on Sunday. On Thursday the service was exceptional, on Sunday it wasn‘t quite as fast, but still very fast, nice and helpful. The food was really good (&enough), the dark beer as well, the price very fair. They also offer a menu that is translated to german (at least the side with the food), just make sure to double check, that you’re getting what you’re expecting, if one of the translations sounds somewhat strange. We also liked the atmosphere. Highly recommend.
A hidden gem under the streets of Prague in an unassuming street, you would think you were lost if you were in the UK or the US, the food is traditional Czech and really delicious! There was no lines and the staff was friendly with a refreshing European directness, the place had a calming vibe and was truly a place to go! Had the Staropramen for 49 CZK with a delicious dish, really high quality!
