Wellness in Prague

If you’re headed to Prague and feeling like you need a break from sightseeing chaos, wellness here offers just that calm. A lot of people don’t realize how seriously Prague takes spa culture. Yes, the city’s got a lot of historic baths, but also plenty of newer places mixing old-school and modern styles.

One of my favorite spots is Lázně Pramen, a spa just outside the center near Vršovice. It’s not touristy and offers excellent mineral baths that locals swear by. On chillier days, you’ll find yourself soaking there, watching rain fall on old rooftops, feeling like you stepped into a different time.

And speaking of cold days, Prague’s wellness scene includes some great saunas and infrared sessions, which come in handy when the winter drags on. Downtown, in Nové Město, you can find small boutique studios offering yoga or Pilates with a view over the river. Honestly, after a day wandering the Old Town, slipping into a quiet wellness spot feels like magic.

For a proper reset, check out some weekend wellness retreats a little outside Prague. I’ve heard good things about places in the Český Kras area, just a short drive away. But if you’re short on time, a single massage at a spa in Vinohrady might be the best way to slow down and breathe.
