So am not one typically for beer gardens or sausages but this place found by my friend was superb! It's got this fun outdoor place but we sat inside as we didn't have a reservation. In Prague one must try the sausage and when we ordered it didn't disappoint ! It came with various dips of which the horseradish was literally out of this world and combined superbly with the meat. we also ordered some camembert on the side which was decadent - perfect afternoon pick me up - the waiters were also entertaining. There's also a little space underground worth a look if you come here !
Niceish venue in the Old Town but out of the hustle and bustle. They offer sampler flights of six beers for circa $25, so not cheap but certainly cheaper than some other places in Prague. Their 'gimmick' is that you can't actually order the beers you want, you only get to tell them what style(s) you like and the bartender comes back with six beers that they have selected. This is fine, I guess, if this is the first place you've visited in Prague or if you don't have time to read through the roughly 100 beers on the menu. For me, it definitely does not work. I also did not see any beer taps anywhere so how they pour the beers they select for the flight is a mystery. After you order the bartender disappears out the back somewhere and returns about 10 minutes later with the mystery beers. Another recent reviewer suggested that the beers in the sampler flight are chosen based on cans that are already open out back. I've no idea if that's true but if it is it's deeply troubling. They do stock an impressive selection of beer in cans but there are several other places across Prague with a similar or better selection of beers at more reasonable prices. Other reviewers have mentioned a great atmosphere. Maybe I was just there at the wrong time or day, but there was no atmosphere at all. Not a place I would visit again.
You should come here if you want to be overcharged for beer and not actually get the beer that you want. They do have a great selection of beers in cans, although a small fortune. There is the option for a flight, but you don’t get to pick what you want in the flight, just the style of beer. And it’s like $35 for a flight since when don’t you get to pick what you want to drink in a flight? It’s just based on what cans of beer that they have open. So we left and went to Sibeeria down the street instead and had a wonderful experience for a fraction of the price.
Fantastic place for a good beer. Our host was excellent in his knowledge of beers. We really enjoyed the evening. Beautiful corgi and earlier in the day we visited the medieval cellar below the beer house. The tasting boards are a great idea. Service was fab
Fab, go here for an eclectic selection of craft beers. Not a lot on tap, but it changes regularly, but there is something for everyone in bottles and cans. I should mark down a star because of the sampling board, (which in theory is a wonderful idea - but I'm practice, when you charge more for the samples then you do to buy it individually, you are essentially scanning people - and here, the beer is double price to do that)... but it's won't. Love it - will be back
