D̶e̶s̶i̶g̶n̶ Deferred Maintenance Hotel Neruda We stayed here a couple of weeks ago. It did not live up to the expectations of the photos on their website and their good rating in the Michelin Guide. The airconditioning in our room didn't work and instead they gave us a fan with some ice. After complaining two times they gave us a different room with working airconditioning. It was a bit noisy and the plate on it said it was 20 years old. However we were happy to sleep in a room with a comfortable temperature. It clearly said on the website that the room type that we booked had aircon so we were disappointed that it didn't work on a day with 30°c weather. The first room felt like a sauna in the evening. We were told that the second room we were given was a free upgrade to a more expensive room. It did come with a free standing bath but it didn't have a shower which is very odd. How are you supposed to wash your hair without making the entire bathroom wet? The first room we were given did have a shower, but unfortunately one with shower curtain. How does a hotel with DESIGN in the name and no shower curtains to be found on the website offer a room with a shower curtain? I've never had a good experience showering with a shower curtain... We've sat at multiple different chairs and tables at the breakfast buffet and every single chair felt worn out/broken and the tables were all wobbly. Would not recommend

Hotel Neruda and Neruda Café are truly among the best places in Prague. Beautiful, well-maintained, and full of charm. The staff is simply top-notch professional, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile. The food is excellent, and the coffee is absolutely outstanding. Every detail reflects quality, care, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended and definitely a place worth coming back to!

We stopped by Design Hotel Neruda specifically for breakfast and were thoroughly impressed. The quality of the food—especially the fresh selections—was fantastic, and the coffee was excellent. Even as non-guests, the service was top-notch and the atmosphere was lovely. A great way to start the morning in Prague

We have just spent 5 nights at this wonderful hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The location just below the castle was perfect. Our room was large and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast choice was superb. Hope to return again one day.

I had wanted to stay at Hotel Neruda for several years because it was always fully booked, so I was very happy it finally worked out – and the wait was worth it. The welcome drink and the very friendly staff made us feel great from the first moment. The location right below Prague Castle in Malá Strana is excellent. I also appreciated that water was available during the day and guests could take a bottle when heading out to explore the city. The breakfast was fantastic, with a great selection including many vegetarian options, plus fresh juice and even the option for a mimosa.
