We visited Čestr on December 13, 2025, for dinner as a group of six, including two children. We were seated at a spacious round table, which made the evening very comfortable for everyone. The restaurant has a modern atmosphere, and the aroma from the grill as soon as you walk in is incredibly inviting. The quality of the meat was outstanding. We especially enjoyed the hanger steak and the sausage, both of which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Overall, Čestr is an excellent choice for anyone looking for high-quality Czech beef in a modern setting. We would definitely visit again on our next trip to Prague.

Excellent meal the best I have yet in Prague. Wait staff was excellent very much like an American restaurant where I did not have to wait for the check and everyone disappeared for 30 minutes. Steak was cooked perfectly, overall great experience.

We visited Čestr in Prague, a steak-focused restaurant that is widely regarded as one of the best places in the city for meat lovers. It is part of a well-known restaurant group with several establishments around town. The concept is excellent…they offer different quality levels of beef, including locally sourced meat, and also a special display area where you can personally select your steak cut. You can choose the exact piece you want, which is then grilled for you. I chose a ribeye (originating from Poland), and it was cooked over a charcoal grill to absolute perfection. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor. One highlight that really stood out was the steak tartare..it was outstanding and honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommended if you visit. The fries were also excellent..thin, crispy, and slightly rustic which gave them extra texture and crunch. Overall, a top-quality steakhouse experience in Prague. I strongly recommend choosing your own cut with visible marbling and definitely trying the tartare.

This was a restaurant I had researched and looked forward to visiting well before my trip, and it lived up to every expectation. I highly recommend it! 🌟 The atmosphere is relaxed, but the service is impeccable and meticulous. They even take care of your coats at the door. The friendly staff checked on us regularly to ensure a smooth dining experience. One detail I particularly appreciated was how the server discreetly turned away during payment to avoid any pressure while tipping. Because of their exceptional service, this was the place where I felt happiest leaving my most generous tip of the trip. 💳😊 As for the food, I had the three-course menu. The beef tartare was well-executed, and the addition of mustard provided a nice kick that kept it from feeling too heavy. The roast beef was surprisingly soft and delicious, and while the famous mashed potatoes were indeed a highlight, be prepared for a very filling portion! 🥔 I also tried the Spider Steak, a rare cut with an intense beef flavor, though it does have a bit more texture and gristle. The absolute star of the show was the Pumpkin Oil Ice Cream. 🎃🍦 I had never tried this combination before and feared it might be oily, but it was quite the opposite. It was incredibly refreshing and perfectly cleared the palate after a rich meal. This is a must-order! A truly top-tier experience in Prague. 🇨🇿

We were really looking forward to this lunch and truly enjoyed the entire visit. All the dishes were beautifully presented, and it was clear that the kitchen pays great attention to quality ingredients and detail. The service was absolutely excellent – friendly, professional, and very attentive. Perhaps a bit too attentive at times 😊 They often came to check on us between courses, occasionally right when we had a full mouth. On the other hand, when we were ready to pay, we had to wait a little while before anyone came over. The kulajda and the main courses were truly delicious – the meat was delicate, perfectly cooked, and well balanced in flavor. The tartare was very unconventional, which we appreciate, but it was probably our least favorite dish. It lacked a bit of boldness in flavor, and the beetroot slightly overpowered the other components. We’re giving a full five stars because the overall experience and food quality were very good. There were a few small gaps that could be improved, but it’s definitely a place where you can rely on having a high-quality meal, and we would gladly return.
