Don’t expect Prague’s vegetarian scene to be all about salads and side dishes. You’ll find hearty stews, Asian-inspired bowls, and even vegan versions of Czech classics like svíčková, much to a local’s surprise. A tip? Visit during the week in the early evening to avoid the dinner rush,it’s worth it to snag a table at places like Moment, known for their casual vibe and tasty wraps.

And if you want something quick, stop by some of the food markets like Náplavka where local vendors often sell vegetarian versions of street food staples. One of my favorite little tricks: try the vegetarian pub in Vinohrady called Momoichi. It’s low-key but their tofu dishes are delicious and the beer selection here is pretty good too. Prague’s vegetarian scene feels fresh but still feels like it’s part of the city, not some flashy export from elsewhere.
