On my layover in Prague I didn't have a lunch scheduled but I really wanted to try some local food. I didn't have a reservation but thought I'd stop in and see if they could fit me in. Lucky for me they had an open table but I would highly recommend booking a reservation online ahead of time. This place got packed soon after I sat down. La Degustation's menu was a wonderful modern twist to traditional Czech cuisine. The food was creatively delicious but still paid homage to local favorites. Ingredients are all locally sourced like the wild blueberries forged from the nearby mountains. Make sure to look up at the chandelier at the entrance. It is a glass blown masterpiece of wild boar bones from their kitchen. Service is what you would expect from a Michelin restaurant. My water glass was kept full and the staff was very attentive. The pacing of each course was excellent. Allowing enough time to savor the flavors before moving onto the next dish. I would highly recommend checking out La Degustation if you are in the mood for Prague's finest dining experience.

The restaurant’s L-shaped dining room, with sections overlooking the open kitchen, is elegant, modern, and inviting, while paying tribute to Prague’s historic architecture. The design itself is an integral part of the experience. The restaurant offers a tasting menu, although the concept and options were not entirely clear from the website. The accommodation of our dietary restrictions consisted mainly of replacing meat dishes with vegetarian versions, without much effort to create alternative courses specifically tailored. The service was good, although the pace of the meal slowed noticeably once the restaurant became full. The food was enjoyable, and several dishes were excellent. However, not all courses felt worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant or justified the price. Overall, it was a good experience, though there is certainly room for improvement.

Had a great dinner here. I left feeling like it was more than just a good meal. It felt like a bit of a journey through Czech ingredients and culture. Definitely recommend coming here if you’re in Prague. I have tried to write a nicer review but it isn’t letting me go into detail for some reason.

Celebrated my birthday at La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise, and the entire evening was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, precise, and genuinely attentive without ever feeling intrusive. The staff made the occasion feel truly special, which elevated the experience beyond just dining. The tasting menu was a masterclass in creativity and balance. Each course felt thoughtfully composed, highlighting humble Central European ingredients while transforming them into something elegant and surprising. The progression of flavors was flawless, from the delicate interplay of cabbage, horseradish, and parsley root, to the beautifully refined trout with beurre blanc and apple. The catfish course was deeply comforting yet sophisticated, while the beef with beer and pea showcased remarkable depth and technique. The dessert, pairing potato with sour cherry and gingerbread, was both unexpected and memorable. What stands out most is the restaurant’s ability to combine technical excellence with emotional warmth. This was not just a meal, but a carefully orchestrated experience. For a birthday celebration, I could not have chosen a better place, the team went above and beyond to make the evening unforgettable. A truly remarkable dining experience that I will remember for a long time.

28th Dec 25 La Degustation remains the definitive benchmark for modern Czech gastronomy. Chefs demonstrated technical precision, delivering delicious, unexpected flavor combinations—featuring regional ingredients with a finesse I have never encountered elsewhere. The open kitchen allowed me to witness the brigade’s quiet, symphonic efficiency firsthand. The wine pairings were absolutely on point, curated with a deep understanding of each dish's nuances. Most importantly, the hospitality feels entirely genuine. The team provides seamless, attentive service that never feels robotic—a rare and refreshing quality at this level of fine dining. I left feeling very satisfied with the entire experience. A highly recommended pilgrimage for any serious epicurean in Prague.
