A very atmospheric place with delicious Balkan food! The interior is amazing, bright, and has many interesting details. The service is good, and the whole place feels cozy and beautiful, like a fairy tale. There are many rooms for both big groups and small companies of 2-3 people, plus a lovely courtyard.

This restaurant is a true gem in Prague. I have NEVER been to such a unique, chic and beautiful restaurant before. Every single piece of furniture and every detail has been carefully chosen and tells a story about Balkan history and culture. The pictures truly speak for themselves. The service was top notch — our meals (soups, main courses and dessert) arrived quickly, and our waitress was incredibly kind, polite and professional. I wish I had asked for her name because she truly deserves praise. But the real highlight of our stay in Prague was the food itself. WOW. Just wow. My husband and I are both from the Balkans (different countries, different traditions and different cuisine), and we both ordered dishes that are considered traditional in our home countries. We can confidently say: this is the real deal. This is exactly what Balkan food should taste like. Since we live abroad and travel often, we’ve eaten at many Balkan restaurants over the years — and we both agreed that this is the best Balkan restaurant we’ve ever visited. To briefly describe our meal: I had the fish & seafood soup and calamari stuffed with cheese and prosciutto, while my husband had Begova soup and lamb roasted under sač. The portions were huge, so the prices were more than reasonable — honestly even lower than what you’d expect considering the quantity and quality of the food. After we finished our meal, we were served two kremšnitas as a kind gesture from the staff. Even though I was already completely full, I forced myself to eat it because it’s my favorite cake — and it tasted exactly how I hoped it would: like something my grandma would make. I love cooking and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, so I can immediately tell the difference between reheated convenience food and something made from scratch with real ingredients. Everything here tasted homemade. This is what I would call true comfort food — simple ingredients, lightly seasoned, prepared with care and love. The kind of meal that fills both your stomach and your soul. I’m writing this review full of emotions. We had an amazing time in Prague, but the experience this restaurant gave us was truly special and unlike anything else. We will definitely return to Prague someday — and this restaurant will be number one on our list. Amazing people with an amazing story created an amazing place. It was truly our honor to experience it.
