Really loved dinner here. Sat at the bar - which is my only gripe- the bar was super tall so for a short person it felt very huge and mildly uncomfortable. I'd have preferred a regular height bar or table. Otherwise the food was excellent - very interesting flavors, quality ingredients, each dish was excellent and perfectly seasoned, cooked. I tried the radishes, skewers of turnip I think, and beef tartare. All of them were delicious, though I think the skewers were my favorite with this delicious espuma which I couldn't quite figure out all the flavors but it tasted amazing. The bread and butter are also a stand out. And that's just the bread! Just goes to show that it's almost always true- if the dinner starts out great with the bread, thr whole meal will be good. Happy customer 😁
★★★★★ What a discovery. We honestly can’t believe it took us so long to visit. Every dish was beautifully balanced, creative, and full of flavor - from the grilled halloumi and radishes to the outstanding chicken course. The chocolate ganache dessert with popping crystals was the perfect ending and something we’ll be talking about for a while!!! The attention to detail was exceptional, and the entire experience felt thoughtful from start to finish. Easily one of the best meals we’ve had in Prague. We’ll definitely be back.
Alma was a great spot to check out in Prague. The atmosphere had really cool vibes, and the main restaurant has a modern feel with a huge open kitchen where you can watch everything come together. The service was great as well. I didn’t catch our servers’ names, but everyone we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel easy and enjoyable. We started with cocktails and then moved to wine. The cocktail list was really unique, and we enjoyed everything we tried. We also thought they had a strong wine selection with plenty of good options at fair price points. The food was excellent overall. We ordered the steak tartare, salads, roasted turnips, grilled char, grilled trout, beans, and whipped mashed potatoes. The steak tartare and beans were both must-tries. The grilled trout was probably the only dish that did not completely stand out, but it was still very solid, so I really can’t say anything bad about it. Overall, Alma is a great restaurant with a fun atmosphere, strong drinks, great service, and really memorable food. Definitely worth checking out while in Prague.
Alma is definitely worth visiting for the atmosphere, service, and cocktails. The cocktail menu is honestly 10/10 - creative, balanced, and probably one of the highlights of the whole experience. The service was also excellent. As for the food, everything was genuinely tasty, but somehow every dish felt like it was missing that final touch or wow-effect. Very good overall, just not particularly memorable. The fish dish was probably my favorite main. And from the starters, the rabbit liver and kidneys stood out the most. Thank you
I visited this restaurant with my partner and we will definitely be back soon. The place is simple and tables are thoroughly separated from each other which provides a certain intimacy. Although the place is nice, the most important happens in the dishes. The oysters are surprisingly tasty and the duck liver quite delicious as well. The best part of this comes with the grilled trout. It’s simply amazing ! It’s very well executed and tasty. The Cabai sausage beurre blanc, sour cabbage, caraway, green strawberries and parsley are the perfection. I must say the list of cocktails is exhaustive and deliciously created with a lot of taste and fun. I love this place and will definitely recommend.
