Walked in without reservations. In America if there is no table available and 1 or 2 is reserved you will wait, but they were smart enough to sit us and move the reserve to a table that was clearing soon. The waitresses were amazing to us.
Great traditional Czech restaurant! The food was delicious, especially the svíčková and schnitzel. Large portions, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you want authentic Czech cuisine.
If you're visiting Prague, I highly recommend trying some Czech classics, especially the garlic soup and the beef goulash paired with a local Czech beer. The food here was absolutely delicious. I would suggest making a reservation in advance, as it can be difficult to get a table, especially if you're dining alone like I was. What I loved most was the atmosphere — the interior is full of character and feels like a work of art, making the dining experience even more special. The staff were warm and welcoming, and despite traveling solo, I never felt lonely. It's the kind of place where you can simply relax, enjoy great food, and soak in the unique ambiance.
Amazing place, great beer, incredible food, but even better service! Elizabetha is the sweetest, coolest, most beautiful person you will ever meet. And she speaks multiple languages! All of the staff were very friendly and delightful; I couldn't recomend this palce more. One of the highlights of my time in Prague.
We stopped by U Pivrnce after a very long walking tour and could not have been more impressed. It is located in an area where there are a lot of tourist traps, but this place felt authentic, had high-quality food, and offered great service. The food was excellent. The beef tartare was incredible and is definitely a must-try. We also ordered a few different salads, soup, and fries, and everything was great. The service was also fantastic. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the meal really enjoyable. We ate outside in a beautiful courtyard, which was perfect on a nice day. That said, the inside looked really cool too, and if the weather had not been so nice, I would have loved to sit indoors and enjoy the atmosphere there. Overall, U Pivrnce was a great find and one of those places that stands out because it feels authentic, especially in such a tourist-heavy area. I would definitely recommend stopping by.
