I was genuinely disappointed by my experience at Levitate. As someone who regularly dines at fine dining and Michelin-star restaurants, I understand that you’re paying not only for the food, but for the entire experience. Unfortunately, many of the dishes were simply too heavy, including the desserts. One of the biggest disappointments was the mushroom course—the liquid served inside the mushroom was unpleasant, and we mentioned it to our server, along with our concerns about several other dishes. Instead of showing interest or asking for feedback, our comments were politely acknowledged and then completely ignored. At this level, I expect a team that genuinely cares about the guest experience and takes feedback seriously. Instead, the service felt indifferent, which made the disappointing food even harder to overlook. For the price and reputation, I expected a much higher standard. Sadly, this is not a restaurant I would return to or recommend to friends
The service was friendly and professional, so I have no complaints there. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. Considering the extremely high prices, I expected a much better dining experience. Some dishes were decent, but others lacked flavor and were simply not enjoyable. The desserts were especially disappointing and definitely not worth ordering. Overall, nothing really stood out, and I left feeling that the experience was not worth the price. I wouldn’t come back or recommend it when Prague has so many excellent restaurants offering much better value for money.
Situated in an easy-to-find location in Prague 2, we were warmly welcomed by one of the hostesses and taken to the first part of the experience, where we were invited to choose some of our table items, including a plate, glass, decorative chopsticks, and a figurine. We were then led to a cosy, beautifully furnished bar area where the experience truly began. We had chosen the 18-course mystery menu with the additional wine pairing. The evening started with champagne and three unique finger foods, all of which were outstanding. After a light introduction to what was to come, we were escorted to our table, where the full dining experience unfolded. Every member of the team was exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu, the ingredients, and the story behind each dish. The owners should be incredibly proud of how well their staff represent the restaurant. My personal favourite dishes included the sturgeon course, a beautifully prepared butterfish dish, and the meat courses featuring pigeon and lamb. The lamb, in particular, was some of the best I have ever eaten. I’ve seen some reviews where the cost was mentioned as a negative. I have to disagree. Yes, it may be more expensive than your average restaurant, but this is far more than just a meal—it’s a complete dining experience. One of the highlights is that you actually get to cook one of the dishes alongside Head Chef Christian Chu, which adds a memorable and personal touch to the evening. For me and my partner, it was a wonderful experience and one that we look forward to enjoying again in the near future. And to finish: a pumpkin is a fruit! (Private joke.)
Great food. Creative use of ingredients delivers great flavour combinations. We also went for the extra wagyu but this was a mistake. Wagyu was ok but didn't really fit into the menu very well and didn't live up the level of other dishes. The venue is also pretty amazing and if you make the expedition option you will get to see different spaces. Alcohol free pairing was probably the best I have had but it is quite pricey. I don't recommend under the skin experience as this felt very rushed and doesn't really add much. Service was good to start with but at some point when restaurant got busier it fell apart. The wait between courses got long, dirty plates stayed too long at the table and they forgot twice about the allergy one of us had.
The restaurant is simply amazing, better than Michelin stars, definitely in Prague. Great mix of cuisines, you switch up places in the restaurant inbetween. Wine pairing was great as well. Of course the price is steeper given the quality. The menu is not disclosed, which could be a problem for some people. Altogether, what a night!
