Great place to eat and remember childhood moments and objects around the house! The food was delicious, both main course and dessert (an apple strudel that will linger in my memory) and the staff is very helpful. Worth coming back 😍
Found this gem near our hotel. Not touristy. Authentic food and great prices. Large portions and very tasty. Came here 2 nights following. Nearly didn't enter as in the main door are steps down and didn't know what to expect. But when enter, great place and friendly staff.
We found this restaurant for late lunch by Google mapping after paying a visit to the Prague Castle in a rainy day. While arriving at the doorsteps, a couple tourists just came out and thumbed up, saying “very good”. We got in and saw no reception front desk as seen usual in other restaurants. Since it’s 3 pm, a lot of seats were available. A waiter said sit anywhere you like and brought us menu. Most of meal prices were reasonably attractive as compared with others we had before in Prague. I ordered the roasted pork knuckle and my wife tried the fish. They both tasted great. Honestly, it is the first time in my life to take such a big pork knuckle (~800g each, according to the menu), thin skin, thin fat layer, and tasteful meat together with the horseradish and pickles. And the fried fish was fresh, juicy inside and crispy outside. It ended up with about ~600CZkč for our lunch there, including drinks (beer). Since we wanna try their ribs in the menu, so we came back the next day for our dinner before ending our vacation in Prague. Again, we experienced great there.
Highly recommended!! Great restaurant if you want cozy atmosphere and a really good meal with the reasonable price. We had the standard traditional dishes, and probably the best chicken in a long time. The food and amazing service (english menu and kind waiters) were the reason that we went two days in a row for dinner and lunch.
Located in the basement this very cosy and rather classic restaurants offers very nice food. Staff is really friendly, speaks good English and also English menus are available. As you see the portions are huge. The garlic soup doesn’t look appealing but believe me it is really tasty. Same with the main course, tender pork, assorted dumplings and red cabbage as well as „sauerkraut“. I had the cheese in bacon wrap as well, nothing bad to say about it but it was the weakest dish.
