I didn't get the chance to eat here because I only stopped by for a beer, but I still wanted to leave a review. I was honestly surprised to get a 0.4L beer for just 39 CZK, especially right in the city center, just below Prague Castle. That's an amazing price! The waitress was also incredibly kind throughout my visit. She even gave me the Wi-Fi password so I could get some work done on my laptop, which I really appreciated. So, while I can't comment on the food, I can definitely recommend this place if you're looking to relax, enjoy a good beer, and not spend a fortune. I'll definitely be back!

Lovely hidden gem a stone throw from Prague Castle usually quiet and very good value for money. Great selection of food and drinks including unique prague themed cocktails and very cheap beer. Lovely atmosphere in the courtyard and accommodating staff.

We stopped by Restaurace U Mlynáře while exploring the Czech Republic, and it turned out to be a really lovely find. The thing that mattered most to me was accessibility: getting in with a wheelchair was completely hassle-free, which sadly still isn't a given everywhere, so it's a big plus here. On top of that, the prices are wonderfully reasonable. I'll be honest, the Czech Republic always surprises me on this front — the value for money is excellent, and compared to what you'd pay in many restaurants back in Poland, it's noticeably cheaper. We ordered a good spread: a hearty vegetable-style soup, soup served in a bread bowl, goulash in bread, and several classic Czech meat dishes with dumplings and other traditional sides — all at genuinely fair prices. The standout for me was the soup in the bread bowl, closely followed by the meat goulash served with a potato-style side that I'll affectionately call "bambuchy." Drinks were cheap too, and the beer, well, that's Czech beer for you — brilliantly priced. The staff were friendly and you can order in several languages, which makes things easy for visitors. There's also a menu right on the table with a QR code, so you can scan it and browse everything before deciding. So if you're out sightseeing in the Czech Republic, I can warmly recommend stopping here. A genuinely nice spot worth a visit.

We got to try the traditional Czech soup polévka v chlebu. There were two types; with mushroom and goulash. My personal favorite was the mushroom soup. I later learnt that they also put an egg on top, you must ask this to the waiter. It was an amazing experience ç, eating the “plate” after the soup 😅. Also the atmosphere felt authentic.

The food here is absolutely delicious. I tried the Svíčková and my husband the duck leg. It was by far the best food I’ve tried in Europe so far. The waiters were very kind and attentive. They were very nice to my toddler as well. I will return overall.
