A thoroughly brilliant dining experience from start to finish - beautiful interior decor, excellent service and dishes executed flawlessly. We enjoyed the tasting menu with wine pairing for a group of >10 which was universally acclaimed across everyone who dined. A real highlight of Prague, recommended.
I visited this restaurant after seeing it recommended by an Instagram blogger. The atmosphere was simple and minimalist, with a nice overall vibe. The service was good and friendly throughout the experience. At the beginning of the meal, we were served a selection of delicious breads accompanied by different sauces, which was a very nice touch. At the end, they also treated us to a complimentary dessert, which we appreciated. The dishes looked more impressive visually than they tasted, in my opinion. I especially enjoyed the pasta and the roasted quail with artichokes and mushrooms — those were definitely the highlights of the meal. The rest of the dishes were generally okay, with fairly normal flavors. The prices seemed reasonable for the area. Overall, it was a nice experience to try once.
Sometimes it’s better to be lucky. And in this case I was extremely lucky. I stumbled upon the restaurant and got a high quality fine dining 3 course meal that I could have any day. Seasonal salad was amazing, A5 Wagyu steak melted like butter and the tartlet with rhubarb and raspberry ice cream was a perfect ending.
I attended this restaurant for a birthday dinner with my company’s CEO, and we were seated in a private room. 💼 In terms of the atmosphere, the environment felt quite casual. Given the formal nature of a dinner with a CEO, it felt like the venue might not have been the most appropriate choice for such a high-level business occasion. It’s a nice space, but perhaps better suited for a relaxed gathering rather than a formal corporate event. 🏛️ Regarding the food, I ordered the traditional set menu. To be honest, the dishes were fine but not particularly memorable. I tried the Venison, which had a stronger gamey scent compared to what I’ve experienced in Japan, though it was undeniably fresh and savory. 🦌 Overall, it’s a decent spot, but the casual vibe might not align with the expectations of a formal celebratory dinner. 🍽️
We had a fantastic dinner at Grand Cru. We chose the 5-course tasting menu (1690 CZK) and every single course was really tasty, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. Highlights included the veal tartar with truffle mayonnaise and black truffle, a comforting kulajda soup with a 63°C egg, the fish of the day, a beautifully rich deer dish with foie gras and potato gnocchi in Perigord sauce, and a perfect finish with chocolate cremeux, sour cherries, and popcorn. The service was good throughout the evening: professional, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. The staff also explained each dish clearly, which made the experience feel even more special. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxed, making it a great place for a date night or a memorable dinner in Prague. Overall, great quality for the price and an experience we would happily repeat. Highly recommended!
