Hybernská served excellent food with great flavors and textures in an atmosphere that felt alive and enjoyable. Ruslan served my soup (kulajda), main dish (svíčková na smetaně, a traditional Czech dish), and dessert (čokoládový fondant, or chocolate lava cake). I recommend all of these items. Ruslan was fantastic, very kind and I enjoyed our short chat after dinner. I hope to come back soon.
We stopped in for lunch and even with an initial line, we were immediately seated. The staff was excellent with several besides our server taking care of us. Our server (Yuan?) Was outstanding! All were very helpful in guiding us to choices and providing explanations and advice. We had trout (just a little overdone) and pork dumplings with vegetables (great). Prices were good, portions were large and the chocolate wreath for dessert was light and a nice end. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful - especially since we don't speak or read Czech. Being from the US it tickled us that they had diet RC cola!
I still remember the previous restaurant that was there so my expectations were a little bit above average. But not too high 😊 But after the visit, I have to say if I can give six stars, I would. Food is amazing, typical Czech, hearty cuisine, amazing taste, and quite big portions so you will not leav hungry. Beer, exactly drafted as it should be. What makes the big difference is the service. We have been taken care of by two gentlemen, and we were impressed by their professionalism. Unfortunately I do not have the names to share but if we come back next month, I will edit this review with their names. They deserve big time because they are the reason we will be back. Don’t skip this place, it’s really a showcase of Czech traditional cuisine. And enjoy, don’t count calories.
Starting from the enternece, we has an amazing dinner! Chicken soup was delicious, tasty and healthy. Main dish was traditional Svickova for sure, do not hesitate give a try! Thanks to all kitchen team!
This place is amazing and everything when right here. It’s very loud and noisy so please be prepared. When I was there, a group of friends and dates were celebrating a birthday and were very loud. That was ok! What was more impressive was the gentleman who waited on me kinda young skinny very kind and helpful. He knew menu and suggested things to try, food and drink. He was not always available so his team mates fluidly and politely helped me with bring out drinks and food. It was so effortless. Even the manager in the white coat came to visit and check in with me. The food was top notch some of the best I’ve ever had too. Thank you from the bottom of my heart an to the entire wait team on this remarkable establishment. Needless to say highly recommend for food and I had a great time.
