Tarot has been our finest culinary experience this year. The kitchen delivers a sensational fusion of Asian and Czech cuisine, keeping the flavors beautifully balanced. Every course is meticulously structured to complement the next, and the accompanying cocktails are outstanding.
An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The multi-course menu was beautifully executed, and while the portions appeared small, each dish was packed with flavor and surprisingly satisfying. Every course felt carefully balanced, creative, and memorable. The cocktail pairing was excellent as well, complementing the food perfectly and standing on its own as a highlight of the evening. What truly stood out was the service and storytelling. The team did a fantastic job explaining each dish, sharing the inspiration behind it, and creating an engaging experience throughout the meal. Their passion and attention to detail were evident in every interaction. The only area for improvement is some of the practical aspects of service. It wasn’t always clear where to place personal belongings such as a handbag or jacket, and the payment process at the end could be communicated more clearly.
One of the best Top 10 tasting menus we have tried. The Vietnamese tasting menu is inspired with Czech basis but does have the Asian feel. We got the cocktail tasting menu pairing that had very unique liquors such as pork belly fat washed bourbon in an old fashioned. It is a prix fixed five course tasting menu with an amuse bouche, but each course has multiple pieces so you definitely are filled up at the end. The restaurant owners/chefs explain each course and the background behind it as it is served at the open counter/kitchen. The menu is provided at the end so you are kept surprised in anticipation of each course. Service was impeccable and friendly. They have a Michelin bib gourmand and I’m certain they will have a star or two soon. Highly recommend this place, markedly different from local Czech cuisine.
We loved our experience here last night, the food, service and ambience was simply perfect. Every dish was so tasty, and well thought out, which isn't always the case. The intimate setting, cocktails and wine were spot on too. One of the best restaurants we have been to in Prague, definitely want to go back.
Some restaurants evoke certain expectations without you really knowing what to expect. Then, when you visit for the first time, you are incredibly surprised. In the most positive way! We went for lunch, which I highly recommend, and I'm still excited about the evening atmosphere. We will definitely be back every time we are in Prague. In terms of the overall concept, Taro is one of the top dining experiences to date, with excellent service, ambiance, food, and drinks. Highly recommended! 10/10, and thank you—it was great! ☺️
