Green House Restaurant – Fairmont Prague Review | 3.5/5 ⭐ If you’re looking for fine dining in Prague, the Green House Restaurant located within the luxurious Fairmont Hotel certainly sets the scene with its beautiful interior and pleasant ambiance. The atmosphere is inviting and has the potential to offer a top-tier experience – but my recent visit left me with mixed feelings. Let’s start with the positives: The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the restaurant manager, whose professionalism and attention to detail stood out and truly saved the experience. It’s rare to meet someone who understands guest care on such a level, and I genuinely want to thank him for stepping in. Another strong point was the food itself, which was exceptional. The tatar steak was perfectly balanced, and the main steak was cooked exactly to order – juicy, tender, and flavorful. For this, the kitchen deserves a solid 5/5. Unfortunately, not everything met expectations. The evening began with a disappointing gin & tonic with cucumber, which I would rate 1/5. It lacked freshness and finesse, something you’d expect to be basic in a place that claims to be five-star. Service was underwhelming throughout – at one point, while trying to get attention, the waitstaff seemed more focused on the parked cars outside than the guests inside. That’s simply not acceptable for a hotel restaurant of this caliber. To top it off, we were offered a cappuccino for dessert at 10 PM, which felt like an odd and unrefined suggestion – not exactly the thoughtful pairing you’d expect after a fine meal. Overall, Green House Restaurant has potential, and the food quality is definitely on point. But for a place that presents itself as a luxury dining destination in one of Prague’s most prestigious hotels, the service and details need serious improvement. Would I return? Possibly – for the steak, and if I knew the manager would be on duty. But with Prague offering so many truly 5-star restaurants, Green House still has work to do to earn its spot among them. We had an incredible evening at Green House. From the very start, the hostess was charming and set us up with a fantastic table. A massive shout-out to the team for the exclusive treatment. Our waiter, Navdeep, was absolutely amazing—sharp, attentive, and he made sure we had everything the second we needed it. We also really appreciated the personal attention from the manager, Sebastian, who checked in on us several times to ensure perfection. The steaks were outstanding, and the wine pairings suggested by the service were spot on. These guys really know what they are doing. We will certainly be back!
Amazing staff, so attentive and helpful. Felt bad walking in with wet shoes from the snow and dirtying the floor but I was greeted with smiles. Even gave me a chair for my bag. Got a steak with mash and was so lovely. Highly recommend
A wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, clearly made with care and quality ingredients. Halibut on the grill is 100/10! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout the night- special thanks to Doolut and Najeep for their hospitality. The restaurant and hotel environment is beautiful—relaxing, elegant, and full of charm 1 definitely will come back.
