The food was excellent and the service was polite and super kind with us! You can't leave this restaurant if you haven't tried the goulash, it was the best. Really good prices for such a quality meal!
I should have known that this was a tourist trap when the group arriving ahead of us was a tour group of 16 with their guide. We were seated immediately. Excellent service overall. We were in and out in 50 minutes, and made our next tour on time. They do not serve tap water. The cheapest water is 0.75L for 155czk (do the math). We had 4 dishes. Two were outstanding, two were mediocre. Good: Fried cheese (so gooey!!) and chicken breast with ham and Camembert. Don't order: beef Goulash (meat is tough, swimming in sauce) and Beef sirloin (better meat texture, but the sauce, so much, why).
Amazing, authentic food with good flavors. Everything was delicious! Kind and attentive service. What a gem of a place. The sourcrout was to die for! Make sure to book a table since they are very popular (for good reasons!).
We popped in for an early dinner and we’re lucky to get a table as most we’re already reserved for leader seating. Our server was very attentive and the ambience was really quite unique. My husband got the goulash and I got a salad with chicken. Both were OK, but nothing special for the price.
The place was recommended by a Czech young lady as well as their traditional dish beef sirloin with bread dumplings, dish that everyone should experience for it's wonderful taste. You will not be disappointed! Additionally, their traditional sausages are excellent. Their freshly prepared homemade lemonades are exceptionally delicious. We highly recommend visiting this reastaurant U cerveneho pava and experience hovězí svíčková s houskovými knedlíky/beef sirloin with bread dumplings!Thank you for the great service!
