This was, by far, the worst Mandarin property we have experienced. The restaurant’s décor and the building itself were well below the standards we expected and certainly did not justify the price point. The truffle mac & cheese was made with truffle oil instead of fresh truffle, and the presentation was quite careless. Other than that, the food was generally average. The service had several serious issues despite having a polite personel. Even our very simple hamburger order was incorrect, our meals were not served at the same time, and the service staff seemed insufficient despite the fact that we were the only table in the restaurant. At a restaurant in a five-star luxury hotel, we expected a much more attentive, coordinated, and professional level of service. Overall, this was by far the worst Mandarin Oriental hotel. We are actually very glad that we chose not to stay at the hotel.
Monastiq Terrace is one of those places you almost don't want to tell people about so you can keep it all to yourself. Great atmosphere, amazing views, and a really nice selection of wines. Big thanks to the man in the suit who recommended a Czech wine for us—it was exactly what we were looking for and ended up being one of the highlights of the afternoon. Friendly service and definitely a spot we'll be coming back to.
Without a doubt, one of the best restaurant I've ever been to. Every dish was outstanding, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming. A truly unforgettable dining experience. I can't recommend Monastiq highly enough and will definitely be back.
Everything about this restaurant was outstanding. The menu offered plenty of great options, and every dish was delicious. The breakfast selection was fresh and varied too.The service was warm, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. A great place to enjoy when you are in Prague.
Monastiq is a true gem. The terrace is beautiful and perfect for a relaxed, stylish setting. The beef tartare is outstanding - especially with the mustard ice cream, a creative twist that works perfectly. Definitely worth a visit.
