I stopped by this restaurant while visiting Prague Castle due to its very convenient location. It is a solid choice if you are looking for traditional Czech cuisine right in the heart of the historic district. 🏰 The food is quite decent and offers a very authentic local experience. I tried the Roast Duck, and I particularly liked how the dumplings were placed beside the duck, allowing them to soak up the sauce. While the flavors are honest and traditional, it is more of a reliable local meal rather than a high-end culinary highlight. 🦆 For dessert, the Apple Strudel was interesting as the texture felt a bit more like a pancake than a classic pastry. 🍎🥞 The portion sizes are quite generous, so make sure you come hungry! Overall, it is a good and dependable spot to refuel with traditional flavors while sightseeing around the castle area. 🇨🇿
The best part was they had enough room to accommodate for large groups and the proximity to the Prague castle. Otherwise the spicy beef goulash was way too salty and was not spicy at all. Only four pieces of beef as well so not really worth it. Most of the other dishes were only mediocre as well. We were also pressured into giving 15% tip even though the service was only ok. The food came fast though.
You can't get better food, coziness or price than this gem. We had the duck, spinach potato gnocchi and coconut ice cream and were blown away. The service wasn't pushy or disruptive, and the atmosphere is very elegant. I will be recommending this place for friends and family visiting Prague. Our price per person included drinks and dessert and was 375 CZK.

The food was delicious, with rich, traditional flavors that felt homemade and satisfying. Everything we ordered was cooked with care, and the menu had great variety for anyone wanting to explore classic Czech cuisine. The service was warm and traditional, just like the decor — the space is filled with charming Czech touches that make it feel like you’re dining in someone’s elegant home, not just another restaurant. It’s a perfect spot if you want to stay close to the sights but escape the tourist traps. Whether you're visiting or local, we highly recommend giving U Labutí a try!

The traditional Czech dishes taste just like homemade, as if prepared by my grandmother or mom. I love bringing my kids, friends, and family here; everyone always leaves happy and satisfied. The cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for any occasion. Truly one of my favorite places for authentic Czech food and genuine hospitality!
