The girls behind the bar were so friendly and funny. The server and bartenders had helpful suggestions and were personable. The drinks were delicious and interesting, served with dry ice and in chemistry flasks.
We are visiting this amazing place for the second time, and once again we were absolutely thrilled! After our tour of the Museum of Alchemy, we continued our journey at Kellyxir- the Alchemical Pub — and it was pure magic! There is a huge selection of signature drinks with unique flavors and spectacular presentation. The cocktails are served in medical flasks, and for a moment you really feel like a participant in a real alchemical laboratory. Everything is thought out down to the smallest detail: the atmosphere, the decor, and the friendly staff create a wave of positive emotions. This place does not just surprise — it gives you an experience you want to relive again. We will definitely come back again and gladly recommend this place to everyone visiting Prague!
After hearing about Kellyxír - alchemical pub, we knew we had to experience it for ourselves — and it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere sets the tone. The exterior courtyard, with its striking statues of a man and woman soaring toward the sky, immediately hints at the mystical theme. Inside, the space is wonderfully immersive: you are greeted with a charming, colorful vintage bar, detailed paintings lining the walls, wooden tables glowing with small candles, and glass tubes running along the ceiling as if potions are actively being brewed above you. Even the menu design — the font, the intentional aging of the paper, and the food and drink names — feels thoughtfully crafted to match the alchemical theme. And of course, the theatrical presentation of the drinks in glass flasks, with dried ice making them look like smoky, bubbling cauldrons is simply AMAZING. We ordered Divine Visions of John Dee and The Essence of the Philosopher’s Stone, along with the Magical Sausage. The drinks were excellent. Divine Visions of John Dee was bold and strong — definitely for those who appreciate a powerful cocktail — while The Essence of the Philosopher’s Stone was smooth, balanced, and more approachable. The sausage was flavorful and satisfying. Two small notes as a heads-up: First, the food menu isn’t extensive or particularly adventurous, so come primarily for the cocktails and the ambiance. Second, while the menu includes a written warning about the dried ice (advising guests to drink only through the straw), a brief verbal reminder from staff might be helpful — not everyone reads the fine print! During our visit, the staff were super friendly and courteous and answered all our questions about the drinks, contributing positively to the overall experience. If you’re visiting Prague and enjoy immersive, themed cocktail bars with a touch of theatrical magic, Kellyxír is absolutely worth a stop. We would definitely come back.
Amazing place ! The decor brings you back in time and the smoking and bubbling drinks are very fun (and tasted amazing). The staff is very friendly as well. I do recommend it for an unforgettable moment !
very cool bar with a nice atmosphere. Unique choice of cocktails, with and without alcohol! I really recommend for the ones who are looking for some originality. I took one with Tatra Tea in it and it was delicious! "The forest for the rest of alchemists"
