This was such a special experience. I ordered the halubky; the food was delicious and some of the best I'd had in Prague, even after dining at the Cafe Imperial. The portions were very generous and the prices reasonable. The entire meal, there was the most wonderful live music- the violinist and guitar player were extremely talented and created the most wonderful atmosphere. I was impressed how well they were able to perform and adapt different songs and styles of music. I hope lots of other people discover this place and love it as much as I do.
This was a special experience. The decor here is dark but warm and cozy at the same time. You feel as if you're in someone's home. Our server was so nice and also very warm. She took the time to answer all our questions and check in on us during our meal: a rare experience in the city. The cook even came out to see how we enjoyed our meal. The food was great. I ordered the sarmale and tried halušky. Both were really tasty and cooked with love. We had šinga cake for dessert (see photo)... it was so moist and dense and big enough for four people to share! The portions are generous and they'd be great for a sharing-style meal too, because you want to try everything! We missed the music but we will be back again. I recommend this for a unique experience in Prague.
Excellent food, big portions, fun atmosphere, and the service was second to none. The owner/cook was a super sweet lady and the waitress was friendly, informative, and very attentive. We ordered the halušky, holubky, ribs, guláš, and šinga. Every dish was made with love, and it was some of the best food we’ve had in Prague. If you’re in the center and you’re hungry and looking for a good time at a reasonable price, this place is a must!
Honestly the best goulash I've ever had. Great little restaurant with generous portions. Good for a lively group. Missed the live entertainment but the food more than made up for it.
