Great food and service! A bit higher priced than average but that’s worth it. I went here with my (Dutch) mom and she wasn’t thrilled about the food. If you’re expecting steak and fries you shouldn’t visit. This place serves proper wild meat. The menu reminds me of a holiday menu: roast duck, deer, lamb and sauces with port, cranberry, apple, cinnamon. I had the duck which was great, juicy, soft and well flavored. My mom had the deer which they sear at your table. Which is a fun experience. We both found that the deer could use a pinch of salt otherwise it was juicy and smooth. I loved the dumplings that were served with the deer (as my mom didn’t like them I ate them). I had the pavlova for dessert which was excellent and a good closure of the more heavy meal. Service was excellent, staff made some jokes, was attentive and served a nice Chardonnay that paired well with the duck.
The Blue Duckling is one of those places that makes an evening in Prague feel truly special. The game dishes were exceptional~venison, duck, wild boar, and foie gras, all beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The service was impeccable: warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food. With its vaulted ceilings, candlelit rooms, and old-world charm, it’s easy to understand why celebrities and dignitaries have dined here over the years. Refined Czech cuisine in a historic setting. Absolutely unforgettable.
This is an absolute must-visit in Prague. One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Not only is the setting and atmosphere breathtaking, but the service is exceptional and the food truly outstanding. The price-to-quality ratio is more than fair for what you get. It’s a unique experience and worth every Czech crown we spent. We paid around €40–45 per person, which included three appetizers, three main dishes, two bottles of wine, two desserts, and five coffees. If you’re unsure what to order, definitely explore their variety of duck dishes, they’re a highlight. A 100% favorite.
Hidden gem! We visited two days in a roll so we can get some really nice duck dishes! Service is excellent, atmosphere perfect. 100% recommended!
My husband and I spent our wedding anniversary at this restaurant… and how magical it was! The maple-smoked duck and foie gras we had for a starter was a knockout. For the main dish, I highly recommend the wild boar loin — the potato terrine accompaniment was crunchy on the outside and comforting on the inside. My husband really like the grilled duck breast with plum sauce as well! Our server was helpful and courteous - she recommended a good Czech wine to pair with our meals. Thanks so much for a memorable evening!
