MUST READ 👇 CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE PAYING ‼️‼️ So my dad and me made a stop here. We were offered “semafor” drinks as their special way to try their national drinks. I thought it’s a great idea, until I found out we were charged for individual drink. I mean fair enough, but was expecting once when you’re offering such a thing - it would be done on a special price. Food was delicious, at least my dad says it’s cooked perfectly! Next, we were charged for tap water!!! This is really terrible! Never have I experienced such a rip off in my life!! Overall, apart for the billing issue, Sanja and Leo were very kind and very accommodating throughout the whole time.
We sat down to an early ( 6:30pm) dinner with no wait. It did get busy quickly though. We were seated outside on a lovely evening. A good selection of Czech staples on the menu and some good wine choices. Service was very good throughout the meal. While this is location mainly a tourist zone, prices were good and the quality of the food was very good. I have to say that having had dishes with dumplings for most of the previous week, I was starting to wonder what the fuss was all about. The dumplings at the Three Golden Stars showed me. Hands down the best of the trip. The duck I had was good, the dumplings made the dish. I would go back often if I could and say just give the dumplings and any of your gravy styles. I would be good. It is a high tourist traffic area but the prices are good, the food is good and the service is good. Go early if you don't want to wait.
I visited U Tří Zlatých Hvězd in Prague and had a great experience. The food was consistently very good across everything we tried, and the menu offers a nice variety. The Grandma’s Basket was a highlight- simple, hearty, and really satisfying. The spaghetti bolognese was also excellent, full of flavor and cooked just right. We couldn’t leave without trying Becherovka shots, and they were definitely worth it- smooth and enjoyable. The prices are reasonable for the quality and location, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.
We had an amazing lunch at Three Golden Stars. We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance - there were many, but my gut instict told me we should sit there, so we did. Firstly we were wholeheartedly greeted by Mr. Gustave H, who took our order. The ambient was really nice, quiet, clean and comfortable, exactly what you want when you’re having a meal. Miss Tania brought us our drinks and Ms Sanja brought us meals and we enjoyed every single sip and bite. My pizza was really big (I took the other half with me to-go, it was too much 🙈), the crust was crunchy and toppings were delicious. My husband’s burger and fries were, according to him, well-seasoned and prepared with a high quality ingredients - he told me you can tell it’s real meat and not some plastic garbage. Our whole order came in matter of 15-20 minutes, so I have to give credit to kitchen staff, too, for their efficiency. The whole time this team of waiters was kind to us and to one another, which is a prime example of a great job atmosphere. They’re fair with their customers and let them tip as much as they want to, if they want to, and since it’s not our first time in Prague we know the tipping policy here. I’m free to say they’re one of the very few restaurants where you can tell waiters are satisfied with their job, they’re not being underpaid or overworked and don’t survive off of tourists - that’s why their restaurant was pretty much full to the brim. They told us how important customer satisfaction is and that it shouldn’t be measured in tips, and it really shows. They made our lunch an experience we’re going to repeat. We’re staying for a few more days and it’s safe to say we found our favourite lunch/dinner spot. Thank you, Tania, Sanja and Gustave H, for your amazing service. Your team is a prime example of true Czech hospitality.
We recently visited this wonderful restaurant and were absolutely delighted! We were welcomed by a cozy atmosphere, a charming old-fashioned interior, and the sincere hospitality of the staff. We ordered traditional Czech cuisine — vepřové koleno and onion soup. The pork was incredibly tender and juicy, cooked to perfection with a delicious crispy crust. The onion soup was fragrant, rich, and beautifully balanced in flavor. It’s clear that the dishes are prepared with love and great respect for tradition 🇨🇿 Special thanks to the guys, Ivan and Nesh, for the excellent service, friendliness, and great mood. Thanks to you, our evening was truly special! We will definitely come back again 🥰✨
