Best pork knuckles ever had! Highly recommend that cannot have more than one main dish, we want to try more food like desserts but already too full… The service is perfect! The server Jacob is sweet and considerate! In the end we try the honey liquor, very delicious! My favorite is knuckle’s skin (from knuckle) and smažené vapřové krokety. The sauce is amazing!!!
We went to this restaurant because of its very high reviews. There was a long queue outside, so we expected something really impressive, but the line moved quickly and we were seated fast. Inside, the restaurant is very loud and crowded, with tables very close to each other, so it is difficult to have a proper conversation. Everything moves very quickly, and the food arrived very fast. We ordered the pork schnitzel with potato salad, the goat cheese salad, homemade potato chips, and a Pilsner beer. The beer was excellent, and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. Overall, a good place for the food, but too loud and crowded for my taste.
This place does get busy but we were early for dinner, about 6:30pm and they were able to seat us with no real wait. Atmosphere at this time was lively without being over loud. The wait staff were very nice. A fairly extensive menu of all the Czech staples. After a week of beer, morning noon and night, we decided on wine. They had some good ones at a reasonable price. I had another pork knuckle that was the best of the three I had on this trip. My wife had the ribs which were also excellent. I can thoroughly recommend this establishment, just go early or be prepared to wait. Prices were in accord with nearby places and not at all unreasonable.
I got a table very quickly, and the staff was super welcoming and kind! Special thanks to my waiter, Jakob, who even greeted people in your home country's language. The person next to me received a greeting in French, and I received greetings in both Chinese and German. ☺️🌸 So sweet! He was incredibly warm-hearted! When he saw me taking photos with my Krtek (Little Mole), he even kindly gave me lollipops! 🥹🥹 His German is also excellent! Hahaha The pork knuckle was absolutely delicious! The portion was huge—too big for one person to finish. It was a wonderful dining experience, and I even got to take a photo with him. Highly recommended! 🫶🫶
With the name like this, you got to smile and go why the heck not. And gladly I did, walking distance from the Charles’s bridge and it does look like a one of those tourist places…but it just a greatly friendly vibe that you just couldn’t resisted. Great friendly and helpful service, great beers (got to try 1/2 dark & 1/2 light, just delicious. Got to try the lit specialty pork - just soo tender, moist, juicy, flavorful and just wonder where had I been…I tried it in the US and Germany but not the same…I was in heaven for sure. The place very spacious and big, with varies section so for sure you will be seated fast no matter what. Wish I can be right there now since writing this making me hungry for their beers and foods and the great hospitality…yum!
